XenForo Chat Add-On by Chatwee is a great way to stimulate growth of your discussion board. It can be used as a simple shoutbox or as a rich community group chat platform. In order to install the widget in a few easy steps, start by downloading the zip folder containing the files.
Before you proceed with the chat installation, we suggest you sign up for an account with us first. It’s absolutely free, and you’ll need access to certain details inside in order to complete the installation.
Open your FTP client and upload the Chatwee folder contained in the zip you downloaded earlier to xenforo/src/addons (do not upload all the contents of the zip file).
Log in to your XenForo admin panel and go to Add-ons in the left column. The chat addon should now be available for installation.
Once you install the chat plugin, select Options from the dropdown menu on the right.
In the next screen, paste the installation code you got from your Chatwee Dashboard into the relevant field. Adjust other settings if necessary. Click Save when done.
There you have it - a live chat application to enhance your XenForo board with a real time interaction feature. Keep it social and let your visitors hold private, group, and public chats, including rich media and emoji. Make it work as a shoutbox or as an interactive platform to integrate your community users.
